Government Boys Higher Secondary Institute Soura was established in 1960. The institute was raised to the status of higher secondary in the year 2006. It is located in Soura area of District Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The institute is approachable by an all weather road. The institute consists of grades 9 to 12. The institute has 3 academic blocks, a well equipped Science Lab, 2 Smart Classrooms, ICT Lab, Virtual Lab and library.

BOYS: Black Pants, White Shirt, Black Shoes with Black Socks, Institute Branded Gold Belt, Striped Gold Tie, Black Sweater or Blazer with Gold Stripes.

GIRLS: White Frock, White Shalwar, Black Shoes with Black Socks, Black Abaya (optional), Black Sweater or Blazer with Gold Stripes.

Prohibitions and Bans

  • Ragging is strictly prohibited
  • Use of alcohol, tobacco and its products is banned
  • Mobile phones are prohibited in classrooms and labs
  • Entry through main gate only with valid ID card
  • Prescribed uniform is mandatory
